How to map a drive

How to map a drive

1. Open a File Explorer window. In the Navigation pane, find the option This PC and right click.

2. A drop down window appears. Select the option Map network drive …

3. A dialog box opens labeled Map Network Drive. From the dropdown menu labeled Drive select a letter to map to. Make sure it is not already in use.

4. Next, in the textbox labeled Folder, enter the text https://secure.gov.regdox.net/dav

5. There are two check boxes in the dialog box, Reconnect at sign-in and Connect using different credentials. Checking the Reconnect at sign-in box allows the WebDAV connection to be restored when you reboot your computer. Checking the “Connect using different credentials” tells the machine not to use your computer log in credentials for access. Check what is necessary for your case.

6. Click the Finish button. A new window will appear labeled Window Security prompting for user credentials. These credentials are the username and password used to log into the Solution. After entering the credentials, click the OK button.

7. Once your information has been validated, the windows explorer will show you your Data Room(s).  Some of the File and Folder names have been redacted in the example below.

8. Now go to your partner portal, or secure FTP site and find the file you want to move to your Data Room. When the application asks for where you want to download it, find the shared drive and the correct folder as the destination.  If the application supports drag and drop, you can also do that.

Note: Every time you wish to do this process, you will need to re-enter your credentials and ensure that you are logged into the secure RegDOX server URL in Internet Explorer.
