How to set up Chromium Based Browser to Open Office Files Externally.

How to set up Chromium Base Browser to Open PDF Files Externally.

1. Open Chromium based browser. (Shortcuts in green area at bottom)

2. Click on the Menu icon with three dots in the top-right corner of the Browser Window.


3. Click Settings.















4. In the left-hand panel, select Downloads.






5. In the middle/right hand panel, turn off, Open Office Files in the browser. This may also come up as, Quickly view Office Files. The button or switch should turn from blue (on), to grey (off).


6. Close the Settings tab and now any Office file should be opened in the Office applications instead of the Browser.

Is the pop-up blocker active?

Please deactivate the pop-up blocker for the RegDOX application URL. To do so, please check your browser settings.
Please add the RegDOX application URL to the trusted sites of your browser (Internet Explorer).


Please also make sure if you use one of the following Browsers to deactivate, Open Office Files in the browser. This may also come up as, Quickly view Office Files. The button or switch should turn from blue (on), to grey (off).
