How to turn a Data Room into a Template
- Go to the Data Room Administration of the Data Room which will be used as a template
- In the Overview section, there are two links. One is to Change Data Room Properties. Select that link.
- A pop up will appear within the application labeled “Change Data Room Properties.” There is a drop-down menu next to the text Data Room Type. Open the drop-down menu.
- There are three Data Room Types: Data Room, Active Template, or Inactive Template. Select Active Template from the list.
- The assumption is that the Data Room being changed is set to Data Room and not one of the other three options.
- Click the Save button. Now, you will be able use the Data Room set up as a template. WARNING: This includes not just the Data Room settings but the file structure and documents in the Data Room.
- Once this is done, your browser will refresh and at the top of the application screen the word template will appear across the screen multiple times.
